an output device. processed data we see on monitors .they are similar to televisions. it comes in size 9", 11" ,14", 17" ,19", 21" in size.

There are two types of monitors

• CRT
• LCD

CRT(Cathode Ray Tube)-

in CRT Cathode Ray Falls on Florescence screen and by deflecting rays make picture.there are two types of CRT.

Monochrome

• it is Black and White like Old Black and White Televisions.
• Picture quality is not good.
• Harmful for Eyes.
• cheap

Color

• in this three phosphorus Red, Green, Blue, which make all colors whatever we watch on the screen.
• Picture quality is better than Monochrome.
• Harmful for Eyes.
• Cheap

LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)-

it is Thin , Flat and Having light modulating Technology. it is also of two types.

TFT(Thin Film Transistor)-

• it Makes Matrix But not Self Lighting, and is made up of numbers of transistors.
• Not harmful for Eyes.
• Picture quality is good.
• Costly

LED(Light Emitting Diode)-

• it is self lighting and basically a Diode that emit light on it and it's picture quality is so good and it is energy saver.
• Not harmful for Eyes.
• Picture quality is good.
• Costly
