Normally a student understand that a Computer is A Laptop, A Desktop , A Palmtop . But
A refrigerator is also a computer, a Smart Phone is also a Computer, A Calculator is  also a computer
Every device which is taking input, perform processing, and giving output is called Computer. 

Now a days , in every sector computer is working like backbone.and also Computer has been part of our education.

and computer work is very similar to human activities.

Parts of computer- 

Normal parts of a computer is 

• Monitor   
• CPU(Central Processing Unit)
• UPS(Uninterrupted Power Supply)
• Keyboard 
• Mouse

Hardware- 

Physical parts of computer which is tangible is called hardware.(H/W). Example- Keyboard, Mouse, IC, Printer, CPU etc.

Software- 

Set of instructions that perform particular task is named as software.(S/W). Vista, win-7, Microsoft Office , Tally etc.

• Computer comes from "Compute" word
• "Compute" Word comes from "Latin Language".
• Compute means -calculate   calculate+r=Calculator 
• Compute+r= Computer
• In Starting Computer Worked as "Calculator".
• Computer- in hindi we known as "संगणक ".

Generally many books you can not find the full form of Computer , But Trusted sources tells the full form of computer is -

C-Common ,  O-operating,  M-Machine, P-particularly U-used in 

E-Education,  T- Training,  and  R-Research

Computer Inventors   
 Computer inventor is "Charles Babbage"

and Modern Computer inventor -"Alan Turing".

Types of computer-  

Analog,   Digital,  Hybrid.
