RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)

It refers to small electronic devices that consist of a small chip and Antenna. RFID tags store identifiers and data it uses electromagnetic signals to detect chips containing electronically stored information placed with in objects.

Assisted Passive

Active – In active tag has an on board battery, power sources and periodically transmit its id signal.

Passive – It do not have any power source, these tag derive power on the electromagnetic waves emitted by the reader and are. Thus cheap and have a long life time.

Assisted Passive – It tags become active when RFID reader is present.

 

Advantages of RFID –

It is similar to a BCR Technology but a performance is more efficient.

RFID is inexpensive and uses very little power.

 

Disadvantages of RFID –

Highly insecure

Not compatible with smart phones.

 

आरएफआईडी (रेडियो फ्रीक्वेंसी पहचान)

 सक्रिय - सक्रिय टैग में एक ऑन बोर्ड बैटरी, पावर स्रोत होते हैं और समय-समय पर अपना आईडी सिग्नल प्रेषित करते हैं। 

पैसिव - इसमें कोई शक्ति स्रोत नहीं होता है, ये टैग पाठक द्वारा उत्सर्जित विद्युत चुम्बकीय तरंगों पर शक्ति प्राप्त करते हैं और हैं। इस प्रकार सस्ता और लंबा जीवन काल है।

 असिस्टेड पैसिव - RFID रीडर मौजूद होने पर यह टैग सक्रिय हो जाता है। 

आरएफआईडी के लाभ - 

यह बीसीआर तकनीक के समान है लेकिन एक प्रदर्शन अधिक कुशल है। 

आरएफआईडी सस्ती है और बहुत कम बिजली का उपयोग करती है।

 आरएफआईडी के नुकसान - 

अत्यधिक असुरक्षित स्मार्ट फोन के साथ संगत नहीं है।
