Virus is a harmful program that is designed to harm a computer by deleting data, files etc. it enters a ‘host’ program in order to activate itself. Whenever you will open any host program  your system can be infected. 

Virus Spread in other computer by sharing infected files through infected Pendrive, CD-ROMs, E-mail and over a Network. VIRUS stands for Vital Information Resource Under Seize.Simple it is software program which infect the operation of a computer. 

Program/File infected Virus

These types of viruses are harmful and it infects executable code file as .exe , .com, .drv, .dll,.bin,.ovl, .sys etc.

Types of Computer Viruses

Macro Virus

Any document Created using in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access which use macro language, often get infected by this type of virus.

Multipartite Virus

Multipartite Virus infects your Computer systems  and spread itself in multiple ways.

Polymorphic Virus

Polymorphic Virus changes it’s code when it passes to another computer system, which makes it difficult for an antivirus program to detect it.

Stealth Virus

Stealth Virus uses Various techniques to avoid detection by the user and antivirus programs.

Worm

It is a program capable of reproducing and spreading itself to another computer system, usually by means of a computer network. It spreads without any human action. Computer worms usually do not cause direct damage to the programs and files in the computer system.

However they consume large amount of computer memory and/or network bandwidth, thus slowing down the computer and making it almost impossible for the user to work on it .

Trojan Horse

It’s main aim is to steal sensitive information stored on the infected computer. It may also delete some important system files.
