A Keyboard

Keyboard-

a keyboard is an electronic board which has number of keys. a Keyboard is similar to the keyboard of Type writer. it is a primary input device of computer.

 it is used for entering data in to computer . there are two types of keyboard

• Physical
• Virtual

Physical 

 it means keys are in the form of hardware

Virtual- 

it means keys are in the form of software.

Some important Short  keys

• Funcitonal---F1 to F12
• Special------- CTRL(Control), ALT(Alternate), SHIFT, Fn(Funciton)
• Alphanumeric- 0 to 9 and A to Z
• Modification- Insert , Delete, Tab
• Navigation - Page Up, Page Down

Interface- 

PS/2, USB, Wireless

Note

• a Keyboard has normally 101 to 104 keys
• whenever we press any key generates and electrical signal and Keyboard has (ASCII ) encoder which is detected by electronic circuit. and it's convert any letter, symbol to it's ASCII and then convert in Binary.
