#LibreOffice Calc Charts

 

These are graphical representation of data. It is used for easily getting understand the data in a worksheet. In Calc there are many chart types  which are providing Calc a professional look also and enhancing it’s capability.


  • Column chart
  • Pie chart
  • Bar chart
  • Line chart
  • Area Chart
  • XY chart(Scatter)
  •  Bubble chart
  • Net chart
  • Stock chart
  • Column and Line chart




 

Column chart

It is useful for showing data changes over a  period of time or for comparing products and it is consist of row and column that’s why called Column chart






Line chart

It can display continuous data over time , in line chart category data is in form of horizontal axis where as value data in form of vertical axis.






Pie chart

It is useful for showing values as a percentage of a whole .The  Values for  each item are represented by different  colors.






Bar chart

It is just like column chart , except they display information in horizontal bars rather than in vertical columns.






Area Chart

it can be used for keeping total value across a trend. Profit overs time can be plotted as an Area chart.






XY chart (Scatter)

 it shows the relationship among the numeric values in several data series or plots two groups of numbers as one series of XY coordinates.






Stock Chart

It is mostly used to illustrate the fluctuation  of stock prices. It is also used for scientific data. It shows the daily annual chart.






Bubble Chart

It is a type  of chart that displays three dimensions of data. It can be  considered as variation of Scatter plot in which the data points are replaced with bubble.






Net chart

It is similar to radar chart and displays data values as points connected by some lines in a grid that show a Spider net of Radar tube .






Column and line charts

It is combination of two other chart types . it is useful for combining two distinct but related data series , for example sales over time (Column) and profit margin trends (line)
