#Hardware and Software

 Hardware

Physical parts of a computer. which is tangible are known as Hardware . in different different time hardware comes in different power and capability and Compatibility.Hardware is also represented as H/W.

Example

External Hardware  -

 Like Keyboard , Mouse , Monitor, CPU, UPS, Printer, Projector etc.

Internal Hardware- 

Microprocessor , RAM, Motherboard, IC's , Transistors, Diodes, SMPS etc.

Software's

Set of programs that perform a particular task is named as software. it provides computer to more power and make computer specific. but it is not tangible you can only see it not touch it , because it is not tangible. Software is also represented as S/W.

There are mainly two types of computer .

• System Software 
• Application Software 

System Software

it controls the whole computer and it is like soul of Computer . Ex- Operating System , Translators, Drivers. 

Application Software

it is for specific purpose software's it may be a single program or collection of programs. called application suite.  Ex- in Accounting(Tally, QuickBooks), in Engineering-CAD, Railway software's Educational Softwares.

 ReadyMade Softwares

We only work on these softwares which are available in market, we purchase it or they are open source and we use it. example - M.S.Office, Tally, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.

User defined Software

These are the software's used for specific purposes and also developed by the developer according to their demand. every big company has their own software.

Utility Software's

these are very necessary for system configuration, and also for maintaining and enhancing the computer performance. Ex-Disk Cleaner, Registry Editors, Disk DeFragmenters  etc. 

Open Source Software's

these are software's available in the market , we use it in free of cost, we don't have to pay for it. and also we can edit in these software's . if we have good knowledge of programming we can do it. these concept was developed by "Richard Stallman" in 1983 in GNU project.

Ex-Linux, Ubuntu, LibreOffice, Mozilla etc.

Proprietary Software's

it means these software's are not free of cost you have to pay for it. and you can not edit in these software's . Only Main developer can edit in these software's. 

Ex- Windows, MicrosoftOffice, Adobe Flashplayer , Antiviruses etc.

Mobile Softwares(Apps)

it is like in Smartphones in built from company and from Stores- like Google Play Store, or Apple Store

and these are mostly OpenSource Software's .
